All parents/guardians of students attending Badger Meeting House (BMH) ensemble rehearsals are to complete a health screening at home in the morning before bringing their student(s).
If students (or anyone in your household) have or have had in the past 14 days a cough, a fever, headache, shortness of breath, difficulties breathing, flu-like symptoms, gastrointestinal upset, or experienced a loss of taste or smell, then they should NOT attend rehearsals, and instead make use of Livestream for that week.
Likewise, if I, as the Director, or anyone in my household is experiencing anything of the above, I will alert families that we will be cancelling/having Zoom lessons for that week.
In addition, if the student develops above symptoms during a rehearsal, I will alert parents to come and pick up the student and have the student refrain from the rehearsal.
Students must have a temperature below 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit
Students must be fever-free without fever medicine for 72 hours before returning to rehearsals.
Students must wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use hand sanitizer, especially after eating, using the bathroom and touching frequently used items or surface
Students must avoid touching face.
Students must sneeze or cough into a tissue or use the inside of elbow.
Students are discouraged from bringing in extra materials from home, and should avoid sharing electronic devices, toys, books and other games.
Each percussionist must have his/her own sticks and bell mallets.
Percussionists are expected to wear masks while playing in Band, as long as the mask mandate is in place.
Students must bring their own pencils (no longer provided in Band classes)
NOTE: All band students will be required to either wash hands or use hand sanitizer after putting away their instruments. It is recommended that students bring their own small bottle of hand sanitizer to class each week. As long as the mask mandate is in place, band students will be asked to wear a mask when not playing.
