Christina Lawrence, a graduate of Lawrence University with a degree in Music Composition, is a gifted teacher, composer, and performer based in the Fox Valley. She has played piano for 18 years and violin for 16 years both in collaborative settings (orchestras, worship teams, choir directing and accompanying) and solo (weddings, events). She has taken many courses in piano pedagogy (the study of teaching piano) while at Lawrence University and has 9 years of teaching experience teaching piano, violin, music theory, aural skills, choirs, music history, and music composition. She has also been a worship band member and worship leader and enjoys helping others find the joy of the Lord through music. Christina is passionate about helping students of all ages discover their musical voice through the piano.
Private lessons begin in the fall. Lisa Lawrence has 11 years of teaching experience in the Fox Valley. She is a homeschool graduate and has been playing the piano for 22 years.
Participation in the Fox Valley Music Teachers Association has been an incredible asset towards furthering her education as a music teacher. As a member of FVMTA for over 10 years, she has served in various roles including president and membership chair.
In 2017 she became a nationally certified music teacher with the Music Teachers National Association.
Excellence and creativity are two of the central pillars in her studio. She loves teaching children and enjoys creating a lively and fun learning atmosphere.
Her goal is to meet each student where they are at, and personally tailor the lessons to each student's learning style and interests.
