NOTICE TO STUDENTS
It is important to note that most of us are familiar with the Sound of Music due to the performances of the incomparable Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer in the motion picture adaptation, but the musical is different in several respects. For instance, Max Detweiler and Elsa Schraeder have songs, solos, and many lines not included in the movie. The nuns' chorus includes several breathtaking four-part harmony pieces sung primarily in Latin. Please take some time to familiarize yourself with the Broadway version as you look towards auditions.
