Trouvères Auditions

Auditions for our premiere ensemble will consist of 3 parts:

  • Audition song of your choice (perform with or without accompaniment (recordings are okay), and 2 minutes is plenty.      Song choices can be lyrical jazz or Broadway, hymns, WSMA solos, or even past choir songs.

Examples: Somewhere Over the Rainbow, What A Wonderful World, a selection from Anastasia, Amazing Grace, You've Got a Friend in Me​

 

  • Rhythm sight reading: Students will clap a simple 4 bar rhythm

  • Vocal Sight Reading: Students will sing a simple 4 bar melody
