The Marching Troubadours will be entry #27 in the Flag Day Parade this year. Our staging area (where students will meet and line up) will be on Wisconsin Ave. between Drew and Durkee Streets. Please note that many of the surrounding streets north of Wisconsin will be closed for staging. Call Time: 1:15

*My recommendation is to drop students off behind St. Therese Catholic Church (Drew and Summer St.). There is also a small parking lot there, as well. I have highlighted in yellow on the map some possible parking areas that make sense for before/after the parade.

Immediately following the parade, students will end at City Park and wait there for pick up. Estimated time: ~ 3:20

I am excited by all the progress we’ve made this week!  Below are some updates:

Uniforms - Students will be fitted for uniforms today, tomorrow, and Friday - these will go home with the students Friday night.

They will have: a blue jacket and black “bibbers."  We will distribute hats/plumes on Saturday morning at Belfry between 9:00-10:00.

Flags - Red VT flag t-shirt (I have extras), black pants, socks, shoes.

Please make sure your student has: ALL BLACK SOCKS and ALL BLACK SHOES (no sandals or other open-toed shoes). Students should wear a black t shirt under the bibbers/jacket, if possible.

*I will have several pairs of black marching shoes at rehearsal tomorrow, so if marchers can find their size, they are welcome to wear them.

Help Needed:  (please reply to this email if you are able to assist)

  • Does anyone have a wagon?  We would love to have water bottles and spray bottles along on our route for when marchers get hot.

  • Water/lemonade at City Park. Last year, some amazing parents had coolers with water and lemonade for the kids at the end of the parade route in City Park. The kids were SO thankful!! Anyone interested in setting up a hydration station?

See you at rehearsal today: 2:00 call for Drumline, 2:30 call for Full Band
